I think you’re hiding something
like there’s something in your mind
I would try to explore it
but I can’t find the time
so why not come out with it?
stop being so blind
don’t make me hit the button and press rewind

remember you’re clever
said this would last forever
you lifted me off my feet
sand left my soul weak
I was somewhere either than this world
invisibly seen body clean
my boots rocking a sheen
my jacket far too mean my shirt far too green


letting raindrops fall
I thought you were so tall
but you rained till it washed away
you said the same thing each and every day
so if you want to mend my heart
stand in line
I can blow you like the wind
like metal make you chime
but I won’t listen for the rest of the time

I’m going to leave you with nothing
except this paper signed
and when you believe my trust
is something that you can find
prove it to me
and maybe I’ll press rewind.
